Ancient Cities

Damascus, is the oldest and ancient inhabited village. Today Damascus is also a strategic, cultural and religious center, located in the southwestern part of the country.

Shibam is an ancient Arab city, which can be described as the oldest settlement on the planet. Shibam is actually an old gated Arab.

Xanthos is an ancient city which is located in Turkish areas of Mugla and Antalya. Since 1988 Xanthos is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Hierapolis is located in southwestern Turkey. The ruins of Hierapolis and Pamukkale are located 22 km northeast of the city of Denizli. Hierapolis is known as the town of healing waters.

Ayutthaya is best known as the ancient capital of Thailand. Ayutthaya, today is nothing less than dozens of scattered temples, dating from different eras.

Anjar is one of the unique places in Lebanon that can not be compared with any sight or landmark in the country. The ancient city of Anjar stands in the Bekaa Valley in western Lebanon.

Byblos is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities on earth. One of the biggest attractions of the Byblos is the castle. It is located in an area of ongoing archaeological excavations near the port.
