Portland is famous for its magnificent parks. The territory of one of them has an extinct volcano - this park is Mt. Tabor Park. The city has the smallest park in the world - Mill Ends Park. It occupies an area of only 0.3 square meters.

City of Portland is located in an area with a maritime climate - it is characterized by warm dry summers and rain, without strong frosts, or winter. This climate is ideal for growing roses, so for more than one hundred years Portland is known as the City of Roses. The city has many places to grow roses, the most famous of these is the International Research Park of Roses.
