Qingdao is among the sunniest coastal cities of China. It is surrounded on three sides by the Yellow Sea.

Qingdao has increasingly been identified as one of the most significant in financial terms for the Asian country towns. Thanks to its international port operations and highly developed economy, most inhabitants of the Chinese city can boast a very high standard of living.

Qingdao has the largest Bathing Beach in Asia. The coast is very attractive, because of its clean sands and calm waters. The beach is considered the jewel of the Huiquan Bay. It is a favorite place for wedding ceremonies.

You would assume that in the Chinese city, on the beach, the most consumed beverage is beer. The place is famous with the production of Qingdao beer. Qingdao honors the foaming drink with an annual Qingdao International Beer Festival. The event begins on the second weekend of August. For 16 days in the Chinese city, a number of events related to beer take place. Every year, the fest attracts millions of tourists. In Qingdao is the first of its kind in China Museum of beer (Qingdao Beer Museum). The entrance fee is 50 yuan.

Clean air and beautiful seascapes is the perfect combination, ensuring an unforgettable vacation in Qingdao. The transport network in the Asian city is also very well developed, which greatly facilitates tourists.

It is noteworthy that in the city are many buildings of European architecture.

Perhaps the most highly visited in this region is Ba Da Guan - one of the most visited places near the coast. The complex consists of eight streets, which include many fascinating buildings built in European style. The buildings dates from the time the Chinese city was under German protectorate.

A great place to walk along the waters of the Yellow Sea is the Zhan Bridge. The bridge, 440 meters long, is actually a continuation of the Zhongshan Road, in the waters of the sea. It was converted into a pedestrian zone. The long stone quay dates from about the creation of settlement in the late 18th century. The 10 m wide bridge is even more beautiful after sunset, when illuminations in the shape of lotus light the road. At the end of the bridge was built a typical Asian style octagonal Huilan Pavilion, which often exposes interesting compositions by talented local and foreign artists.

You cannot miss to visit May Fourth Square. The place is known mostly for its majestic monuments, representing the composition of several large red rings, located in an asymmetric shape. The sculpture is called May Wind and was erected in honor of the protests against the political regime. The square is in a very convenient location, surrounded by interesting governmental and administrative buildings as well as many business centers. The south has a sea view.

Among the city's attractions are the Eight Passes Villas, Wusi Square, Plank Bridge, the aquarium, Zhongshan Park.

In Qingdao is one of the longest bridges in the world. It's the facility of the Qingdao Haiwan Bridge. The bridge, a symbol of economic and technical power of the city is 42.6 km long and connects with Qingdao’s Huangdao district.

About 30 kilometers from town is the picturesque Mt. Laoshan. A marbled resort is built among the divine nature in the vicinity of Qingdao. The territory has more than 40 hotels and numerous restaurants.

Qingdao is a major city of eastern China's Shandong province. The city is one of the largest in terms of number of inhabitants. Qingdao has a population of 8.1 million. By the end of XVIII century, the city had been a small fishing village. The increase in population began after the arrival of the German invaders.

The city is often called the "Switzerland of the Orient". A translation of Qingdao name means "the lush green islands."

Qingdao is located 13 hours by train from the capital Beijing.
