Laurentian Mountains are situated in the picturesque chain of southern Quebec in Canada. Located about 145 km from Montreal, near the Saint Lawrence River and Ottawa River. Laurentian Mountains is one of the oldest mountains in the world. Parts, of which were found in the rock composition are aged nearly 540 million years.

They call this area, little Switzerland for its beautiful scenery and picturesque villages there in the European style of Mont Tremblant and Saint-Jérôme.

This area was colonized in the 19th century. The main figure in this process was Father Antoine Labelle, who chooses these mountain lands because of fertile soil, proximity of pools and easy connection with Quebec.

Even then the village had enormous potential as an attractive tourist destination and so worked hard in the direction of the railway line built for Montreal-Saint-Jérôme. Once it happened in 1892 the area quickly settled and the number of residents increased.

A typical scenic mountain atmosphere there today is attractive for many tourists not only from Canada but from around the world. There you can rest in a calm atmosphere that is guaranteed and enjoy the entertainment.

Away from the hectic life pace visitors there can, fish, enjoy a mountain walk, picnics and to ride mountain bikes. For lovers of gold and rafting the conditions are also perfect. In winter skiers often go there to exercise their skills.

In the resort, Mont Tremblan festival is held every year "Symphony of color". At that time the town visitors can walk to the gondola on the river and admire the beautiful hills covered with colorful autumn trees.
