San Diego, California

San Diego is located in the southern California coast of the Pacific Ocean. The city is located very near the Gulf and the Tijuana Mexican border. This is the second largest settlement in the state of California and although a relatively large city, it differs somewhat from the other hectic, noisy conglomerations.

San Diego is known for its perfect climate and its long exotic beaches. Many visitors to the city and its inhabitants take up surfing because the waves of the ocean here is very suitable for this sport. Other travellers prefer to ride roller skates or drive along the coastal paths or simply walk on the beaches.

The central promenade near the beach is "Mission Beach" and it is always busy. There are tourist trains, surf gear shops, countless restaurants and cafes. You can hire equipment for skating or cycling, and mix with hundreds of people crossing the walkway.

Perhaps one of the biggest attractions of the city is a popular zoo, which is located in the Park "Balboa". Over 4000 animal species can be seen here, this place is one the most popular and visited zoos all over the world. Quite interesting is the special attraction, "Sea World", which offer shows with dolphins and seals, where you can see a representative of the whale family- Shamu.

Especially attractive for tourists is San Diego Pacific Beach, which is known as one of the largest and most preferred places for nightlife. In the main street here- called "Garnett" are dozens of cafes, bars and the like. From here, one can easily reach the historic "Gaslamp" neighbourhood where most buildings are in the beautiful Victorian style.

The climate in San Diego is always nice, as the sun does not stop almost all year, which is another reason many tourists come to rest here.
