Columbus is the capital and largest city of Ohio. Named after adventurer Christopher Columbus, the city was founded in 1812

Columbus is known for being home to the second largest State University - Ohio State University, with over 60, 000 students. Some educational institutions have grandiose buildings that attract tourist interest. The university was founded in 1870. At 90 West Broad Street is the monument of Santa Maria. It is a replica of the great ship of Columbus, an adventurer, who discovered the New World in 1492.
