Columbus is the capital and largest city of Ohio. Named after adventurer Christopher Columbus, the city was founded in 1812

In 2009 the prestigious magazine Business Week defined the city as "the best place to create a family”.

Columbus is known for being home to the second largest State University - Ohio State University, with over 60, 000 students. Some educational institutions have grandiose buildings that attract tourist interest. The university was founded in 1870. Today tourists can make a walk among the green spaces and beautiful buildings on campus. The most popular of those are the oval arch, library, botanical garden of Chadwick, and Value City Arena.

This prosperous American city is characterized by high-rise buildings. Skyscrapers of Columbus are the buildings One Nationwide Plaza, the building of National City Bank, Miranova Place, Capitol Square and LeVeque Tower.

The buildings of City Hall and the Ohio Statehouse are among the finest in Columbus. Memorial McKinley is also among the most visited places in the city. Erected in 1906, the building is named after a former governor William McKinley. It is Located near Capitol Hill in Ohio.

The city is crossed by two rivers - Scioto River and Olentangy River, over which stand two bridges – the 215 meter Main Street Bridge and the 113 meter Lane Avenue Bridge.

At 90 West Broad Street is the monument of Santa Maria. It is a replica of the great ship of Columbus, an adventurer, who discovered the New World in 1492.
