Tahoe Lake, is located in upstate California, right on the border with Nevada in the U.S. In California, lie about two thirds of the shoreline of the lake. Nearest city is Reno, which is located 58 km. away. If you are coming from Sacramento the road will take you about 2 hours, because the beautiful lake is located about 160 km away. In the area of Lake Tahoe is also the largest ski resort in California and Nevada, located near the towns of South Lake Tahoe in California and in Nevada- Statelane town. The second largest ski resort is called "Heavenly" and is known for the Olympic Games held there in 1960. This resort is located near Tahoe City.
