Las Vegas, also known as Sin City and gambling town, no doubt justifies the title of entertainment capital of the world. Las Vegas is notorious for its numerous casinos, posh hotels and buildings, diverse entertainment for adults, expensive boutiques and generally lavish lifestyle, which results in it being the capital of gambling in the U.S. In Las Vegas is everything that we used to see regularly on the cinema screen - day and night entertainment, cocktails and pools, fashion shows and a bunch more events that can rightly be described as "Vanity Fair".

Las Vegas is the most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Nevada. In fact, Las Vegas is the largest settlement, founded in the 20th century in the United States. The posh complex extends over 340 square kilometers and its population is 600, 000 people. In a literal translation from Spanish, Las Vegas means "the Meadows" or "fertile valleys". Today these "fertile valleys" are among the most recognizable buildings in the world, home of the best golf courses in the U.S. and the most luxurious shops. There is even a smaller version of the Eiffel Tower. Generally everything in Las Vegas is labeled "most". A number of movies have a background of these neon boulevards, glittering hotels and casinos.

Las Vegas was founded just over a century ago. Its name appears in 1905 and it officially became a city in 1911. At that time Las Vegas was something like a western stop for travelers. It’s not trade that favorably affected the development of Las Vegas, but rather the construction of Hoover Dam. Tourism developed along the construction of the dam, and subsequently gambling legislation triggers the first hotels and casinos in Las Vegas. A construction boom followed at the end of the 40s of last century. The first hotels with casinos were built near the two lanes on the main road. The main street today is called The Strip.

In the 50s of last century the growth of Las Vegas as a world famous tourist center continued. At that time were built some of the largest hotels with casinos, which operate to this day - Desert Inn, Sahara Sands and others. In 1955 was built the first tall building on Main Street - Hotel Riviera. Las Vegas is where the legendary Frank Sinatra held over 43 years of performances around some of the most luxurious hotels in the city of sin.

The 70s have seen a significant decline in the inflow of tourists to Las Vegas because the city has nothing new to offer visitors. The city undergoes cardinal changes in the 80s of last century, most hotels have been renovated, while several new ones with higher capacity and more facilities are built. Among the attractions for tourists are the newly built artificial volcano that spews fire pieces, the reserve for white tigers and the dolphin pool with other complexes with water slides and waterfalls. Here is built an attractive Treasure Island with a pirate ship in actual size.
